Quick start
Install Beacon Nav. A sample “First Floor — Exhibit B” plan loads automatically.
On a physical device, allow Bluetooth and Location when prompted. On Simulator, use Demo scan.
Navigate: tap Scan Start, pick a nearby beacon (or Demo), choose a destination, follow the path.
Your building: Settings → Floor Plans to import a drawing, then place beacons and draw or auto-link routes.
Optional: Settings → About & Privacy → Restore sample floor plan if you want the bundled building back.
Troubleshooting
Scan finds nothing: Use a real device, turn Bluetooth on, or tap Demo.
No route between two rooms: Settings → Route Graph → connect them or Auto-link.
Wrong start after scan: Bind devices in Settings → Beacons.
Map looks empty: Confirm a floor is watched under Floor Plans.
Distances feel wrong: Set scale (feet per % width) on the floor plan.
Wi‑Fi name is blank: Allow Location; Apple requires it to read the joined SSID.
Arrive alerts while the app is closed: Turn on Beacon Sensing and Always Location. This is optional.
Home Assistant
Home Assistant is optional. Beacon Nav never requires an account. If you connect, presence events go only to the URL and token you enter. Reviewers do not need a Home Assistant instance.
