1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how the Developer Portfolio mobile application (“App”) for iPhone and iPad handles information. The App is provided by the indie developer publishing Developer Portfolio on the App Store (“we,” “us,” or “Developer”).
For privacy questions, use the contact options on our Support page.
2. Information the App stores
Developer Portfolio is a productivity tool. Content you enter stays under your control:
- Portfolio content you create — project names, summaries, lifecycle statuses, platforms, categories, version/build strings, sprint names and dates, activity titles and notes, App Review submission timing (submitted/completed dates and First Time vs Release type), Focus session timing, pick-list customizations, theme preference, and related settings.
- Optional images — app icons you choose with the system photo picker.
- Optional file bookmarks — security-scoped references to project folders, vault destinations, and backup destinations you select with the system file picker.
- Backup files — JSON exports you create, which may contain the portfolio content above.
This information is stored locally on your device (for example via on-device persistence). It is not uploaded to Developer-operated servers because the App does not use a Developer backend.
3. iCloud sync (optional)
If you choose All My Devices (iCloud), the App may sync portfolio data through your Apple iCloud Drive / ubiquity container associated with your Apple ID. That sync is provided by Apple. We do not receive a copy of your iCloud contents. Availability depends on your Apple ID, iCloud Drive settings, network connectivity, and Apple’s services.
You can keep data on This Device Only at any time in Settings → Sync.
4. Data we do not collect
In the ordinary operation of the App as distributed on the App Store, we do not:
- Require you to create an account with us
- Sell or share personal information for cross-app tracking
- Use third-party advertising SDKs
- Use third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs that send usage data to us
- Access your precise location, contacts, microphone, camera, or health data
Apple may collect diagnostic or App Store-related information under Apple’s own privacy policy when you use Apple platforms and services.
5. Photos and files
When you pick an icon, the system photo picker provides an image you select; the App stores that image data as part of your portfolio record on device (and in iCloud if sync is enabled). When you link folders or export/import backups, the App uses system file interfaces and security-scoped bookmarks you authorize. We do not upload those files to Developer servers.
6. Children
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through a channel we control (for example an email you send to Support), contact us and we will delete that correspondence where appropriate.
7. Data retention and deletion
- On device: Delete the App to remove locally stored portfolio data on that device (subject to any copies you made, such as backups or vault folders).
- iCloud: If sync was enabled, manage or delete related files via your iCloud storage / device settings as provided by Apple. Disabling sync and deleting the App may not by itself erase every iCloud copy until you remove it from iCloud.
- Backups you exported: You control those files in the locations you chose.
- Support email: If you contact us, we retain correspondence only as long as needed to respond and for ordinary business records.
8. Security
We design the App so portfolio data remains on your device or in your Apple iCloud account. No method of electronic storage is perfectly secure. Protect your device with a passcode/biometrics and keep iCloud secured with your Apple ID best practices.
9. International users
Your content is processed on your devices and, if you enable iCloud, through Apple’s infrastructure. If you contact Support, your message may be received in the country where the Developer operates.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy where permitted by law.
