Quick answers

Scheduled backups while the app is closed

Yes—if the daemon is active. Use Save & Activate Schedule in Scheduler. The LaunchAgent runs a scheduled backup (app binary or CLI helper) in the background.

Next run says tomorrow

If the daily/weekly time is still ahead of “now,” next run is today. If that clock time already passed, it rolls to the next day (or next matching weekday).

No repositories found

Confirm projects live under your discovery paths (often iCloud Drive). Ensure Git repos exist (.git) and iCloud has finished syncing folder structure.

Restore is non-destructive by default

Restores go to staging under ~/.easygit-backup/restores/ unless you explicitly choose an in-place flow with safeguards.

Contact

We typically respond within 1–2 business days. Include macOS version, app version, and what you expected versus what happened.

Helpful diagnostics

  • Screenshot of Dashboard / Scheduler
  • Whether Daemon shows Active
  • Relevant lines from ~/.easygit-backup/logs/
  • Destination type (local / NAS / secondary folder)
